ASTWOOD BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
Existing use: Garden land to farmhouse/infill within the settlement boundary

Number of units: 5

GDV: £2,640,000

Proposal: Proposals for development were strongly opposed by local residents and the Parish Council, due to the site being located in a small settlement, and their preference being to secure permission further away from the current residential built form.

Working in partnership with the local planning authority, and securing the permission via the appeals process, a mews scheme of five dwellings was developed.

With the site being in the red impact zone for Great Crested Newts, we enhanced the adjacent pond for biodiversity, and gifted landscaping to the Parish Council to strengthen the village green border, protecting views from neighbouring properties.
